CURRENT Early Learning/Transitional Kindergarten Families
If your child is currently enrolled in our Early Learning/Transitional Kindergarten program and eligible for Kindergarten for the fall of the 2026-2027 school year, you don't need to complete a new enrollment application. Watch for details coming from your resident elementary school.
Kindergarten Eligibility
Children must be 5 years old before September 1, 2026 (see WAC 392-335-010)
Required Documentation
- Proof of Age and Legal Name
- Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, ID card, or passport
- Immunization Records
- You can access your child’s Washington Statement Immunizations at MyIRMobile - MyIR Mobile, or from your local health care provider, clinic, or local pharmacy.
- Individual Vaccine Requirements- Washington State Department of Health
- Proof of Residency within Nooksack Valley School District may be required before the application can be processed and/or finalized
- Acceptable documents include a power bill, title, or rental contract
- Completed Enrollment (select from the options below)

For parents who have not previously enrolled a student in Nooksack Valley School District (and do not already have a Skyward Family Access account with the district), you will first need to complete the New Student Online Enrollment Request.
New Student Online Enrollment Request
Check your email for an automated email response. Click the link in the email to log in to your new Skyward Family Access account.
Go to New Student Enrollment, and click the Online Enrollment icon for the school year you wish to enroll your student in.
Complete all required steps & upload required attachments to enroll & register your student.
Click Submit Application to District.
Upon receipt of the application, school staff will review it and contact you.
NOTE: When applications are submitted during summer vacation, please be aware that staff won’t be back in the building until late August and will contact you then.
Tech Tips For Registration
If you are using your cell phone to access the New Student Enrollment application, turning your phone to the landscape position helps.
Each school site and the District Office have a Chromebook available for families to use if they don’t have access to a computer. This also provides a good opportunity for families and staff to meet each other.
If you are unable to access or complete an online application, please contact the school your child will attend or the District Office for help.

Please log into your Skyward Family Access Account and use the drop-down option next to the Home icon to select New Student Enrollment. Then click on the appropriate year-specific New Student Enrollment tile.

For returning students (Your student has attended school with NVSD in the past; however isn’t a current student), please contact the District Office at (360) 988-4754 to request reactivation of your previous Skyward Family Access account.
Once your account has been reactivated, you will be able to log in, access New Student Enrollment, and complete the application.
