Principal's Message

Hello Parents!!
We want to thank our EES community, Families for Everson and all volunteers for making our Jog-A-Thon a huge success!
We are still tallying the money raised during our Jog-A-Thon and will have a total for you soon!  Thank you for the support you gave this event!  We can tell you that according to Mr. Sherron, our students ran 2,141 laps which is the equivalent of 428 MILES!!  Wow!  Thanks to Families for Everson and Mr. Sherron for organizing this event and to all our volunteers who showed up to count laps and cheer on our runners!

Hi Everson Elementary volunteers, families and friends,

You all are invited to a Garden Work Party in the Everson school garden from 3:30-4:30 on October 14th!   We will be getting the garden ready for the winter. We will be working in the garden with classes during the school day as well.  If you are interested in helping out with this part of the day, you will need to have a cleared volunteer background check on file.  If you don't know if you are up to date with this, please call the office.

Please spread the word! It takes a village to grow a school garden--the more, the merrier!

Thank you so much for volunteering in school gardens and hope to see you at the work party

Halloween is Coming!
At Everson Elementary, the celebration of non-Federal holidays, such as Halloween, are decided by each teacher. If your child will be participating in a school Halloween party, and they choose to wear a costume, please have your child bring the costume to school to dress up later in the day. Please remember that fake weapons of any kind are not permitted, and costumes must be “friendly” in nature. Holidays of this nature include activities that build positive memories and foster a family atmosphere.

If you want to attend your child's classroom PARTY, you must have approved Volunteer paperwork on file and let the teacher know ahead of time.  We will have our annual Halloween parade at 2:20. ALL parents are invited to come and line the hallway parade route. You will be required to sign in at the office.   If you plan to pick up your child after school, please send them with a PINK NOTE and after the parade you will need to return to your car and use our pickup line process.

If you do not wish your child to participate in Halloween festivities, there will be an alternative space and activities available.  Please let your child's teacher know.

Do you have costumes your child has outgrown? We are collecting Halloween costumes from now until October 25. The week before Halloween we will set up a costume shop and students who would like to can choose a costume that they can wear at school and take home. Please drop costumes off at the front office. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or the office.

Meet Our New EES Staff

Hi! My name is Sabrina Kalil and I'm so excited to be the new School Counselor at Everson! I love working with students and helping them learn and grow into the amazing people they already are. It's so exciting for me to be back at Everson after being an intern here a couple of years ago. It's amazing to get to work with such a caring and loving community. I graduated from Western Washington University with my master's in education as a School Counselor in 2022. I enjoy reading a good book, spending time with my husband and our two cats, baking delicious treats and hanging out with friends. Please feel free to reach out to me if you ever need something!
