Student Support Services at Nooksack Valley School District

The Nooksack Valley School District is committed to ensuring that every student is supported in reaching their full potential. We recognize that each learner brings unique strengths, needs, and experiences, and we coordinate a range of special programs designed to meet those diverse needs.

Our district provides comprehensive supports through Special Education, Multilingual Learner Services, Highly Capable programming, and Title I and LAP interventions, as well as programs focused on social-emotional well-being and mental health. These services work together within our Integrated Student Support System to ensure that every student, academically, socially, and emotionally, has access to the resources and relationships they need to thrive.

We are dedicated to removing barriers to learning by providing appropriate accommodations and modifications that allow all students to access grade-level content and demonstrate their learning in meaningful ways. Through collaborative problem-solving and individualized planning, we ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Strong partnerships between schools, families and the community are essential to student success. By working together, we create equitable opportunities, culturally responsive practices, and personalized supports that honor the whole child and help every student thrive.
